Humerus lengthening

This surgical intervention is typically recommended in cases of significant humeral length discrepancy or for patients with dwarfism undergoing bilateral humeral lengthening following height increase from the lengthening of both the upper and lower legs. The preferred method for this procedure is the Ilizarov technique, which involves the use of either a unilateral frame or the LON technique. Bilateral humeral lengthening necessitates precise attention during the treatment process and requires tailored physical therapy to ensure the maintenance of range of motion in the elbow joints.
